In 83 full games that Rogers has played, he has thrown for 250+ yards in 61 of those games. Hard to imagine an "Average" defense stops Rodgers from throwing for 250. With all his weapons and a newly rejuvenated James Starks, GB will put up impressive numbers again.
Hi Ken, thanks for your comment. Check out our graph above from 2012. At the beginning of the 2013 season our predictions are mostly based on the team's performance in 2012, as the season progresses the predictions become more and more based on their performance this season. Based on who the teams played and how they did in 2012 we think Cincinnati is the stronger team! Right now our predictions are based on our overall rank of each time. One area for improvement is for us to better take into account each teams strengths and weaknesses!
But you have the Packers ranked at the #2 offense overall and the #4 PASSING offense on your home page... The only time the Bengals hit the top 5 is #4 defense... and yet Cincy will beat GB??
Overall we rank the two teams fairly close, and we're predicting that the home field advantage will tip the odds on favour of the Bengals at their next game! We've ranked the Packers as a 7.8/10 for passing, as compared to all other teams. Check out our homepage rankings, we don't think they are in the top 5 passing teams: http://ironrank.com/#best-teams
So the Packers top the Bengals and have a far better than "good" passing ability with Rodgers and the WR crew, yet Bengals come out on top?
