Denver's O has been uninspired. They have some serious issues at QB. Now if the Broncos have a good showing at KC, then I might be wondering if they are improving/going to give the Pats a much more difficult game on November 12. I'm also wondering how the cumulative effects of injury is going to affect the Pats, their WR corps is getting quite depleted. I still think the Pats are the better team coming out of a bye and hopefully more healthy.
PATRIOTS BY DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Broncos have no chance. Dream on.
If you look on NFL.com, the broncos have 3rd best defense behind Vikings and cardinals, then they have the best yards per pass, and best backfield. So I think we know who will win, BRONCOS!
i bet $250 on the broncos, it should be easy with brady and gronkowski out of the game hopefully in 4th quarter or so :)
Patriots win by 7
Denver!
Denver will win.
Broncos!
hi i bet 30 dollars with a friend. any hope for bronco win?
Best quarterback will win this game. If Denver can get pressure on Brady, they have a good chance of winning. If Manning throws picks, or only has a mediocre game, it's all Pats. We'll see if Manning has any magic in him. Looking forward to this one, regardless.
Everyone is just favoring the team that won the super bowl last year:(
No, absolutely not.
@FAN So what if no one argues pats are the best defense in the league? Theyve allowed the fewest points per game of any team
This whole thing is bullshit... Rushing Defense (YPA): DEN (Good) 2nd vs. NE (Excellent) 14th...only accounts for YPG, but teams run less on the Pats Overall Defense: DEN (Good) vs. NE (Excellent), but no one argues that the Pats defense is best in the league, like they do for the Broncos Fumble Forcing: DEN (Good) 2nd vs. NE (Average) T-9th...but Denver is only good Pass Rush (Sacks): DEN (Good) 1st vs. NE (Excellent) T-4th ???????? Red Zone Defense: DEN (Average) 6th vs. NE 15th (Average)
Gronk is actually only averaging 70 yards a game. And our pass defense is great. Chicago bears pass D is just awful.
@Raymond Jette Before reading your post I felt like rushing isn't an issue and our secondary will be pressed. Gronk looked nasty tonight and we have little guys to stop him. I mean our guys could all fit in his shadow little. If we want to properly cover Gronk we are likely spreading to thin to be effective against a run game. For that, I see a successful game on the ground for the pats and that isn't a good result for the broncos. My only hope is that we are so fast that we slap the ball out of his hands that trying to drag him down afterwards doesn't make us susceptible to over covering him and still be strong covering where we should be covering. I am not worried about our offense.
I wonder why iron rank favors NE. most every other algorithm has Broncos by at least a couple.
Although I am a Patriots fan, I don't think a few of the players are ready for prime time yet. McCourty's holding foul in the third quarter against Carolina was totally inexcusable. It allowed Carolina to continue their drive and score 7 points. A close look at the replay of Ridley's fumble also showed again that he is still not hugging the ball tightly into his side as he should be in tight situations inside the red zone. That allowed the ball to squirt out when he got hit. It's time to face it, this guy is no longer a rookie. He has been a back in high school, college and now almost two years as a pro. Consequently, there is no excuse for that anymore and I feel certain Belichick is just about fed up with it. Finally, I still can't fathom why the call was for a pass on third and one in the third quarter when the Patriots had moved the ball 31 yards in 9 plays with mostly excellent running from both Blount and Vereen; averaging well over 5 yards per carry. So, instead, they ended up with an incomplete pass and 3 points instead of 7 (Ugh!). So, in my opinion, Carolina didn't win the game, the Patriots just lost it. To quote Brady afterward, "we just shot ourselves in the foot too many times..." Case closed. Conclusion: To beat a good team like Denver, every player has to be able to execute for 60 minutes without the above, inexcusable mistakes. That has always been Belichick's mantra and the Patriot's history under his tenure. Remember.... a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Unfortunately, the Patriots still have a few of them to fix. (Hopefully, my comments will make their way back to the Pat's locker room).
